Abstract

In present research paper selection for a right material for the right process of a 3D printer is an important factor for additive manufacturing industry were readily replaceable products in short period of time and less cost. 3D Materials Polylactic Acid (PLA) and Polyamide are used to build the 3D models using software and printed on 3D printer using Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) and Fused deposition modeling (FDM) process. The material properties, Geometry, and Accuracy influence the 3D Models build by PLA and Polyamide were compared on the quality prototypes. Quality prototypes build by polyamide 3D material in the powder form using SLS process were acceptable when compared the prototypes build by Polylactic Acid 3D material in the filament form using FDM process.
