Experimental design for the removal of Remazol Gelb – GR dye from aqueous solution by casein

Abstract

In this study, batch removal experiments were carried out in order to evaluate the maximum removal conditions of the anionic dye remazol gelb gr from aqueous solutions by casein using a 23 full factorial design. To our knowledge, the interaction of casein with such a reactive dye has not been reported. The three factors were selected such as temperature, pH, and the ionic strength of suspension in this study and the optimization of the factors to obtain maximum sorption was carried out by incorporating effect, normal probability and interaction plots, analysis of variance (ANOVA), pareto charts, surface and contour plots.
