Electrical conduction in NaNbO3-BaTiO3 Ceramics: Impedance Spectroscopy Analysis

Abstract

Lead-free ceramic system (1-x)NaNbO3-xBaTiO3 for x = 0, 0.25, 0.50, 0.75 and 1.0 were prepared by conventional ceramic technique. The ac conductivity data were found to obey the power law and showed negative temperature coefficient of resistance behaviour. The ac conductivity data were used to evaluate the activation energy of the compounds. The correlated barrier hopping model was found to successfully explain the mechanism of charge transport in this system.
