Abstract
Solid state reaction method was used to prepare samples of (SnO2)x Bi1.7 Pb0.3Sr2Ca2Cu3O10+with,x=0,0.1,0.2, 0.4,0.6 and 0.8 wt%. Twosetsof sample with different particle size of SnO2, have been prepared. The first one was prepared by addition SnO2 normal particle(120-200nm) ,the second was prepared by added SnO2nano- particle (20-40nm) .X-ray analysis and electrical resistivity measurements were carried out to study the performance of these samples.Phase examination by XRD indicated that SnO2nano particle enhanced the (Bi,Pb)-2223 phase formation by increasing volume fraction of high Tc phase up to x=0.4 wt%.On the other hand , high concentrations of SnO2 nano-particles retarded the phase formations by increasing of low Tc phase. The crystal structure for all superconductor samples was orthorhombic structure .Alsoit has been observed that sample prepared by added nano particle of SnO2 display a sharp superconducting transition and a higher-Tc than that of the sample prepared by added SnO2normal- particle
